Storyline
Terrence J. stars as Charlie, a playboy who's convinced that relationships are dead. His two best friends, Donald Faison and Robert C. Riley, bet him that if he sticks to one woman for one month, he's bound to get attached. Charlie denies this until he crosses paths with the beautiful and mysterious Eva, played by singer/actress Cassie. They may agree to a casual affair, but eventually Charlie is questioning whether he may actually want more.

Some of it is so predictable you could set your watch by it, but there is a welcome (and surprising) layer of complexity running through the film that makes it a little bit more than your standard fare. The likable and funny ensemble helps too.

The scenarios and their attendant psychologies are utterly conventional, but the characters and cast are appealing in equal measure.

The facade the film offers is a lovely, and mildly diverting one, but there’s little insight to be found below the surface.

Neatly wrapping it all up in a bow, right down to big reveals and reconciliations, The Perfect Match offers not nearly enough twists on a tired formula.
42
As if to make up for the predictable main plot, The Perfect Match is bogged down with a slew of uninteresting B-stories.
